Inventory Page

Use the assigned user name and password to logon to Truck Locator when prompted at the web site.

Once logged onto TL, vehicle inventory is displayed on the first screen. This is a complete list of all vehicles associated with a specific dealership or dealer code(s). Users can return to this list at any time by clicking the Dealer Inventory button.

There are several functions available to users from this page. The illustration and explanations below briefly identifies these functions.

If you are unfamiliar with the inventory screen, please look at our quick reference page.

Change the Order Inventory is Listed

To simplify reading from the inventory page, use the sort controls to organize inventory.

Extend Online Availability

While there isn't a limit on how long vehicles are visible online, they are posted for 30 days at a time. If a vehicle is "out dated," user must extend its availability so that others can find it in a search.

Sell a Vehicle

Mark a vehicle sold, including selling price and sale type. This information can be used in reports.

Sell Multiple Vehicles

Mark multiple vehicles sold, including price and sale type.

Modify Presale Dates

This allows you to list trucks that will be coming into truck inventory, but that aren't physically on the dealership lot yet.

Modify Truck Pictures

This allows you to change or delete pictures associated with the truck listing.

Modify Internet Viewable Status

This allows the dealer to indicate if the truck listing should not be published to the internet (public view). The default for listings is to show on the extranet (for dealers) as well as to the internet (for public). This feature allows you to change this publishing process.

Modify Special Price Indicator

This allows you to mark the listing as having a Special or Sale Price.

Copy a Vehicle's Information

Some vehicles have remarkably similar information. This function allows users to copy information from one vehicle and place it into a new file, saving time.

Change a Vehicle's Information

Change the information about a vehicle from the inventory screen.

Sort Order/Options

The order in which inventory is displayed can easily be changed using the Sort Option links, colored blue, on the main page. By choosing an option - Dealer Code, Drop-off Date, Serial No., Make, Model, or Unit Stock Number - the inventory will be re-sorted in ascending order according to the choice.
